WELDING LOS ANGELES
At AP Precision we are proud to specialize in a wide range of welding processes. We have many years of experience working in the robotics industry as well as designing, fabricating, and welding custom products for our clients in the Los Angeles area. We also have the excellent opportunity to fabricate components for leading US welding companies such as Lincoln Electric and Miller Electric, with whom we enjoy a long standing professional relationship. This rare opportunity has afforded us a unique and inspiring insight into advanced welding processes, equipment, and other technologies relevant to the field.
AP Precision is not just your average welding shop. From start to finish, we focus on quality throughout the design, engineering, and fabrication processes. Our staff is able to help you take an idea and make it a reality. From the design process, our fabricator/welders work closely with our engineers to ensure that your project is welded to the highest industry standards. This process guarantees precision fabrication and welds, while also making the most efficient use of time. And since we work with certified welders, no job is too big or too small. The process of joining metal comes in many forms, and we are proud to specialize in just about all of them.
Welding Processes
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) – Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper
This is one of our favorite processes in the shop. It is also one of the most complicated. TIG welders are the jazz drummers of the welding world. In one hand, the technicians holds the tig torch, creating the weld puddle. With the other hand, they feed a filler metal rod into the weld. Using a foot pedal on the floor, the welder then creates and controls the electrical arc. This creates a precise and deeply penetrating weld, that is versatile and cleaner than most other forms of welding.
Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) – Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel
MIG welding is a true workhorse of the welding and fabrication world. Just about everything you see around you has been MIG welded. MIG welding is used in everything from constructing the frame of your bicycle, to the base for your coffee table, to the steel gate at the entrance of your front yard. It is a fast, strong, and efficient welding process.
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW, Stick) – Steel, Stainless Steel
Stick welding is the desert island welding technique. With its flux coating, a SMAW (stick) electrode can be used without the shielding gases needed for MIG or TIG welding. This means that you can weld three inch thick steel at the top of a windy sky scraper, or a bridge support under the surface of the ocean. It penetrates deep, works in all positions, and is the go to for all steel applications, big and small.
We also specialize in other metal joining techniques such as:
Spot welding – Steel, Stainless Steel
Brazing – Steel, Brass, Copper
Soldering –
Brass, Copper
Riveting – All Materials
Mechanical Fasteners – All Materials
VHB Tapes – All Materials[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title="Get a FREE Estimate Now" color="green" align="center" link="url:http%3A%2F%2Fapprecision.com%2Fcontact%2F|||"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
